‘Little Explorers’ – the mini garden club for children – continues to grow in Olden Garden – in all senses! It welcomes local families with children, especially those who don’t have access to their own garden.
It is working on soil improvement in the veg beds and thinking about fox deterrents, as their digging is a problem for veg growing.
On our London Open Gardens day on Saturday 10 June we will welcome visitors from 11am to 4pm.
Weekend tickets are available for this year’s London Open Gardens on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June.
With your Weekend Ticket you can also visit Arvon Road Allotments on the other side of the railway line from Olden Garden, and many other gardens not normally open to the public.
Huge thank you to The BIG Alliance for the team of volunteers from Euromonitor who came along to trim hedges and plant native plants, helping with our meadow enhancement project funded by Our Space Award
A huge thank you to all who came! And a special thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who made cakes and helped on the day, ensuring our Chelsea Fringe music festival was a great success! Music groups played in the woodland and on the lawn. The Mayor of Islington Cllr Gary Heather and the Mayoress Cllr Tricia Clarke enjoyed a tour of Olden Garden and met many of our visiting families and children.
Everyone welcome! Come to our Music Festival in Olden Garden on Sunday 21st May, 2-6pm. Our community event celebrates the Chelsea Fringe – the community festival of gardening.
