Volunteer and Open Days

Olden Garden is open to the public. Volunteer days are open to everyone, not just Garden members. New volunteers are welcome. Gardening experience is not necessary. Join us for coffee and cake/biscuits, make new friends and learn more about the Garden. Or just walk in our woodland and relax on the patio. Families welcome. Just drop in.

Come and volunteer on Tuesdays any time between 10am – 4pm. Maria, our gardener, will offer a variety of tasks.

Or come to a Saturday volunteer day – on the third Saturday of the month when our gardener Caroline will guide you.

Remember to wear appropriate footwear.

Our accessible toilet will be open.

Come along for a ‘Build your own bird box’ family activity. And invite your friends to come – everyone is welcome to join in.

Or come and help Caroline our gardener with

  • Weeding and deadheading
  • Cutting back geraniums
  • Potential potting on of seedlings sown last month
  • Clearing gutters and sweeping paths

Join us for an hour or longer, 10am – 4pm. Coffee and biscuits will be available.

Caroline, our gardener, will lead family activities in the Garden. Come along and sow fast growing herbs in pots to take home. Everyone is welcome.

It looks like the heatwave will continue to Saturday so we will need to water the borders and pots. There will be weeding to do and some sowing of biennial seeds.

Join us for an hour – or longer. Coffee and biscuits will be available.
